Course Reviews

I played in the Steak or Beans Event this past May long weekend. BCgolfguide.com organized the group for their trip which included Black Mountain and staying at the Coast Capri - 35 guys in all. They needed another person to create even teams, hence i joined in for a very memorable weekend. What this group does annually is play their first round (Blk Mnt) in order to create 18 teams of 2, White and Black. For Sunday's game the crew had a lot of fun. Buffett Breakfast served up compliments of Jeff and breakfast crew. T-time at 11:40am - Each 4-some has a white and black team. Stroke play and teams determined from like handicaps from Saturdays game. A hole is either won by a team for 2 points, or halved and each team gets 1 point. After the 9 teams come in, total points are tallyed and for 2010, Black won! Well i was on the white team with a career best score of 75. Losers ate beans, winners had steak back at the Coast Capri. Did i mention winners dine on fine chinaware, while losers get paper cups, plastic spoons, newspaper table setting and dead flower arrangement. It was a blast. The group welcomed me into the clan of "Slice Boys". Re: Photo attached - bar setup at the 18th greenside as the groups came in. Hats off to the staff at both Black Mountain (thanks Brice, Eric and Tony) and Sunset Ranch (Bruce, Scott, and Jeff) for serving up terrific food and having exceptionally friendly staff to make the experience most memorable for all. Watch for more photos coming from this group.
